Data Governance Analyst

Data Governance Analyst II

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage business relationships with associates, project team members and senior leaders across the organization
• Proactively identify opportunities with moderate to broad impact and visibility, propose solutions to relevant parties and drive implementation of solutions with support from leader
• Inform and educate other business areas as to decisions that impact data standards, definitions, processes, policies and tools
• Collaboration with cross functional teams regarding all areas of data development, consumption, and life cycle management to ensure compliance and effective processing and controls of critical data elements
• Develop standardized approach to capture and document metadata and issues across all assigned data domains
• Using a process driven approach, assume ownership for the identification of key data elements and measures that drive critical business activities
• Identify the elements, create clear definitions and thresholds, collaborate with stakeholders, administer the certification and remediation program and provide actionable reporting
• Identify, analyze and report/resolve data issues, related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness
• Develop and/or enhance processes to identify, analyze and report/resolve data issues, related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness
• Develop and deliver status updates and presentations to senior management and stakeholders

Position Requirements
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business,  computer science, computer engineering or a related field of study from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience
• Four plus years data management experience such as Data Governance, Data Quality and/or Master
• Data Management
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification a plus
• Software: Data Governance & Quality tools such as Collibra, Trillium, Informatica
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organization and prioritization skills to execute assignments with minimal supervision and adjust to changing priorities with leader input
• Ability to influence associates and leadership up to the Senior Management level using verbal, written and presentation skills
• Demonstrate ability to execute pre-existing project plans and possesses basic project management skills
• Ability to summarize complex information and concepts and clearly communicate up to Senior Management
• Experience driving operational change a plus
• Advanced analytical skills and ability to understand complex business functions
• Intermediate understanding of relational and dimensional data models
