Lead RPA Developer
The Lead RPA (Robotic Process Automation) Developer manages initiatives related to designing and managing new workflow automation projects, testing, and fixing bugs using UIPath and Microsoft Power Apps. This position also works with the organization’s UiPath partners to provide operational support and troubleshooting of existing workflows and provides leadership and guidance to less experienced developers.
Responsibilities
- Leads the design, development, and implementation of various process improvement and automation services including automated workflow and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to meet end-to-end business requirements.
- Maps as-is processes, explores, identifies, and tests new workflows for process re-engineering & automation.
- Provides technical leadership and mentors team members on assigned projects.
- Creates and maintains, throughout the project life cycle, the Technical Requirements Document (TDS) and Solution Design Document (SDD) including detailed RPA solution process flows, and technical specifications.
- Creates and documents test procedures and scenarios for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Supports the launch, implementation, and ongoing operation of RPA solutions.
- Deploys RPA components including bots, robots, development tools, code repositories, and logging tools.
- Creates supporting workflow process and end-user documentation.
- Works directly with stakeholders to capture business requirements and translates them into technical approaches and designs to be implemented.
- Collaborates with partners to ensure proper implementation and integration of the solutions.
- Supports deployments and troubleshoots production issues outside of work hours as needed.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of department’s strategic business plans.
- Develops in-depth knowledge of company’s existing IT architecture/infrastructure and technology portfolio.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Skills
- Advanced technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including current Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop releases.
- Advanced analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills, including experience consulting and presenting ideas in a user-friendly language.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate / Power Apps.
- Able to design technical specification documents for RPA Projects.
- Experience with Agile development methodology.
- 3+ years of experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment preferred.
- Previous experience leading projects and the work of others preferred.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
- UIPath Certified Advanced RPA Developer Certification.
- 2+ years of experience using UIPath in a development role.
- 5-7 years of experience developing RPA solutions.
- 5-7 years of experience documenting business workflows and process improvements.
- 5-7 years with business requirements gathering/analysis.
