Description

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the software lifecycle of the organization’s e-Commerce platform, hosted on BigCommerce, and its subsidiary systems. Integration platforms include SalesForce, Quickbooks and PowerBI among others. There are also supporting sub-systems on AWS and Microsoft Azure. This role will also advise on and implement future technology decisions that affect the enterprise, such as Enterprise Resource Planning systems, etc.

This position will report to the Vice President of Information Technology and work collaboratively with Marketing, Finance, Operations and Business Development to understand and implement platform requirements.

Job Functions:

  • Member of the Information Technology team.
  • Participate in and make recommendations for future software upgrades and implementations across the enterprise.
  • Manage enhancements and customizations to the BigCommerce platform.
  • Investigate and make recommendations for BigCommerce platform plug-ins to enhance our product offerings.
  • Ensure security and best practices are being followed to maintain system integrity across all platforms.
  • Integrate and manage data flows to dependent systems including SalesForce, Quickbooks, PowerBI, HubSpot, PayPal, Avalara, and Google Analytics.
  • Manage Azure based data integration platform.

Technology Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent.
  • Three to five years’ experience as a full stack software engineer.
  • Experience managing technical implementation on BigCommerce or similar e-commerce platforms.
  • Working with end users to gather requirements and implement those requirements.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Experience using the following technologies: PHP, .Net, JavaScript, Node.js, AWS Lambda and Dynamic DB Services, MS Azure, and MySql/PostgreSQL.
