VantageLinks is a dedicated Information Technology (IT) staffing company supporting our clients with all their IT Needs. We currently have an opening for a Systems Engineer with one of our premier clients.

THIS IS A DIRECT ROLE WITH OUR CLIENT. WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT H1B CANDIDATES AND PLEASE NO STAFFING AGENCIES.

Client is seeking a forward thinking Systems Engineer to provide network support and technology services to external clients. This will include pre-sales engineering support, project implementation, service ticket processing and assignment, hardware/software troubleshooting and network design.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess and troubleshoot client needs and provide recommendations for solutions
  • Visit client sites on a daily basis (sometimes multiple clients)
  • Troubleshoot ticket assignment, assignment and resolution
  • Work directly with end users as a client liaison
  • Project management
  • Effectively leverage and delegate team assignments
  • Hardware/software configuration (server, desktop, network peripherals, firewall)
  • Manage Service Team that consists of System Administrators

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred
  • (VNP) certification preferred
  • Microsoft certification preferred
  • General Windows Server and Microsoft domain knowledge required
  • Previous work with Cisco Meraki equipment is a plus
  • 5+ years of direct industry experience, prior consulting experience preferred
  • Experience with and/or certifications with Cisco, VMware, and Microsoft solutions (Active Director) and server/desktop operating systems
  • Understanding of all aspects of LAN/WAN environments - TCP/IP, subnet masks, routing, SMTP, DNS, and DHCP
  • LAN/WAN network management
  • Design and implementation of all network aspects
  • Infrastructure support and deployment of Cisco Meraki, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, VOIP, wireless
  • Willingness to work within a team environment, yet capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills, as direct communication with clients and co-workers is essential
